This is the style guide based on a theme I like to call “Maritime Spring,” with coral pink, a soft and dusky navy blue and sandy tan hues. The idea originally came along when it was winter still and I was more than anxious for spring, but wanted the original concept to be somewhat neutral (and calming), which made me think of the water. And so, this mood board/ style guide was born, after trying out other failed options, of course!

Even after the color scheme was chosen, the logo and overall appearance and layout changed several times.

And then there’s the fonts. I probably tried over ten serif and sans-serif until I finally settled on Droid Serif and Quattrocento Sans, which I recently exchanged with Open Sans.

Knowing how I am always looking to grow in my skills and change my designs, I may as well create a whole new theme sooner or later. But when I do, I have another fun process to look forward to.

Enjoy.
